Your role
As a NPI Technology & Application Manager, your mission is to develop the strategy and roadmap of technology and products by driving innovation and continuous improvement, and establish R&D, engineering, application and technical support, and marketing intelligence competence in China.. You will report to Generral Manager.
You will
Research & Development
- Build up R&D capbility in China, manage the portfolio of R&D projects and ensure alignment with business strategy and ROI objectives.
- Identify and explore new business and technology opportunities across various experience domains (Customer, Factory and Product).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative solutions that deliver business value, which includes exploring ways to improve exsiting technolgy processes and challeging the status quo.
Engineering
- Lead the localization strategy and process for vacuum products, ensuring they meet regional technical standards and market requirements.
- Lead customized design and development initiatives to address unique customer applications and deliver vacuum solutions.
Application and Technical Support
- Lead the Application Engineering team to provide pre-sales technical support, working closely with the sales teams to design optimal product solutions for complex customer requirements.
- Oversee root cause analysis and technical problem-solving for field issues, coordinating between the R&D and manufaturing to implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Translate the voice of local customers and market into clear technical requirements and product improvement opportunities for the R&D and engineering teams.
Marketing Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth competitive intelligence analysis, including products, technology benchmarking, and strategic positioning, to support our product roadmap and commercial strategy.
- Monitor and synthesize insights on emerging market trends, regulatory shifts, and China local policies to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential risks to the business.

- Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in management role with 15 years in technology development. Experience in vacuum field will be a strong plus.
- Strong capbilities in technology scouting and innovation management.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to conduct design-specific and technical analysis and proposals of customer product needs and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
