About the Role
Shangri-La Group is seeking an experienced HR Technology Partner and Solution Architect who's based in Shanghai / Shenzhen / Beijing to serve as the primary interface between Group HR and Technology for the global HR digital transformation agenda. The role will combine HR technology partnership, solution architecture, portfolio governance, and delivery oversight across core HRIS, employee self-service, payroll, learning, talent management, performance management, workforce analytics, and employee experience platforms. Working closely with Group HR, Technology teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, you will translate HR priorities into secure, scalable, integrated, and sustainable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and maintain the target architecture and technology roadmap for enterprise HR platforms.
• Manage the HR technology demand portfolio across Group, regional, and hotel initiatives, assessing business value, risk, cost, effort, dependencies, and alignment with the HR digital roadmap.
• Lead solution architecture for HR digital transformation initiatives, from requirements and solution evaluation through implementation.
• Design and govern integrations between core HRIS, payroll, learning and development, talent management, and related enterprise platforms.
• Drive the modernization of employee self-service and HR service delivery capabilities.
• Establish standards for HR data architecture, master data, data quality, privacy, security, and governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and operational efficiency through automation, analytics, cloud technologies, and AI.
• Provide end-to-end technical oversight for system implementation, enhancement, migration, and integration activities.
• Participate in vendor selection, RFP evaluation, solution assurance, and management of implementation partners.
• Present architectural recommendations, risks, and options to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data protection, and business continuity requirements.
• Oversee routine, ongoing management and optimization of existing HR systems, including service performance, incidents, enhancements, releases, vendor support, controls, and continuous improvement. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience including significant accountability for global or regional HR technology strategy and delivery.
• Strong experience with enterprise HR platforms such as Oracle PeopleSoft or a comparable enterprise HR platform. Experience with other major HCM platforms preferred.
• Deep understanding of the HR domain and end-to-end HR processes, coupled with proven project management experience.
• Proven experience designing integrations across HRIS, payroll, learning, talent, workforce management, and other enterprise systems.
• Sound knowledge of APIs, integration platforms, cloud architecture, identity and access management, data architecture, and information security.
• Experience delivering regional or global transformation initiatives within a global/complex, multi-entity organization.
• Demonstrated ability to translate HR priorities into technology requirements, explaining technical trade-offs in business language.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin, with strong presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience in hospitality or another geographically distributed service industry would be advantageous.
