Collaborate with University:

Focus on KONE priority technical themesSelect proper university teams for future technology study

Create and maintain technical specification:

Create technical requirement specification for concept project / Research case

Create and select proposals of new technical solutions:

Generate new ideas and create new solution proposalsSelect best proposals for selection / decision makingDevelop the technical solutions for given specs ensuring a) functionality, b) quality and reliability c) cost d) manufacturability e) interfaces to other technologies, f) compliance with applicable technical codes and standards

Manage Engineering team for Execution of technical plan

Manage team performanceControl & steer the design workSelect and monitor performance of external resources (from approved list)Write Task assignmentsFollow-up of task execution & controlling work qualitySelect sub-contractorCommunicate to technical stakeholders

Develop Capabilities
