 What You'll DoSAP's Digital Supply Chain (DSC) Cloud supports the real-time supply chain with comprehensive processes to manage the complete extended Digital Supply Chain—from design, demand planning, and manufacturing to delivery and operation. The DSC Cloud solutions integrate highly with SAP S/4 HANA, contributing to end-to-end processes.With the new Harmonized Product Operating Model, the Product Management role is key within the Empowered Product Team, which consists of Product Management, User Experience, and Engineering. As part of this team, you share responsibility for cross-functional collaboration, alignment, and communication to solve problems and take ownership of the product scope development teams are working on.Within the Empowered Product Team, Product Management is responsible for the ‘Why’ and ‘What’. You ensure the solution is valuable, meaning customers choose to buy the product as it truly solves their pain points, and viable, as it serves SAP's needs. You define the product strategy and vision, set strategic investment priorities, identify target markets, create business cases, optimize for growth, decide on build, buy, or partner strategies, develop a prioritized product roadmap, and drive product adoption and usage. This role is essential for ensuring that the product aligns with business goals and meets market demands effectively.As a Product Manager, you bring a passion for logistics and new technologies. You drive innovation and efficiency in logistics through cutting-edge technology. You should have technological experience, business acumen, credibility with management, deep customer knowledge, passion for the product, and respect for your product team. This role requires someone smart, creative, and persistent, capable of thinking outside the box, pushing the company beyond its comfort zone, and effectively communicating and building bridges across positions. In your role as Product Specialist Logistics you will:
  • Influence the logistics product roadmap, product backlog, and priorities.
  • Drive alignment with UX and Engineering as part of the Empowered Product Team.
  • Engage with key customers to understand their problems and how to solve them.
  • Interact with development experts on solution approaches and issue resolution.
  • Create end-to-end process best practices for scalable customer adoption.
  • Work within an international team for fast resolution of customer feedback.
  • Drive product success with customer adoption and satisfaction.
  • Manage critical project situations to ensure customer success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in DSC Logistics, Product Marketing, and Sales.
  • Present product strategy and roadmap in various meetings and events.
 What You Bring
  • Experienced supply chain management expert (5+ years).
  • Good understanding of logistic processes and a passion for logistics—both in Warehouse and Transportation Management.
  • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Thought leader with strong strategic and visionary thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills towards management.
  • Familiar with SAP internal development and delivery processes.
  • Highly interested in new technologies, curious to learn, and open to changes.
  • A functioning network within the SAP Supply Chain and Technology community.
  • Extensive experience interacting with customers at the executive level.
  • Ability to quickly understand customer business process requirements and translate them into software requirements, with the ability to prioritize being highly important.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and extensive experience engaging with executives and various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with customers and partners.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills.
You should also have a thorough understanding of supply chain processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to advise our customers regarding the usage of our logistics software solutions.
