We are currently seeking to fill the role of a Geography Teacher at an International School located in the vibrant city of Beijing. This opportunity is for a full-time position, with the commencement of duties scheduled to begin in August 2024.

This international educational institution is located in Chaoyang District of Beijing. It has top-notch facilities, including a sports arena suitable for tournaments, arts classrooms, science labs equipped with the latest technology and an 800-seat theater. The school offers a combination of the national curriculum and the IB (International Baccalaureate) Philosophy to its students in elementary, middle and high school. This blend of curricula provides a strong foundation of subject knowledge and cultivates learning abilities and thinking skills.

 

Job description

  • Teach geography effectively to students in secondary education, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Prepare lessons, lectures, tutoring techniques, design and correct assessments, and write report comments
  • Co-teach with fellow teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
  • Support the program coordinators in the maintenance of an accurate inventory of educational resources
  • Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching and learning methodologies to accommodate differing learning styles
  • Assess and monitor students' progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Hold or participate in parents' conferences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in education or related field
  • Teaching qualification
  • At least 3 years full time teaching successful experience
  • Eligible for the English teaching work visa
