What you will do 
The Category buyer is responsible for project spend for APAC region. Responsibilities include supplier scouting, selection, supplier management, price & contract negotiations, drive product optimization and working capital management. The buyer will develop and execute a category strategy that supports the company’s profitable growth plans. They will be the primary owner of cost savings and working capital improvements.

How you will do it

Drive year-over-year improvement in field material spend through supplier negotiation. Drive year-over-year improvement in working capital through supplier payment term management. Develop field material category strategy by category cluster, implement category strategy in sourcing decision of field projects. Supplier account management for selection of suppliers. Develop strategies to effectively manage and optimize the supply base. Manage supplier performance and organize regular business reviews with suppliers of responsibility. Negotiation and maintenance of contracts and supply conditions. Insights to supply base market intelligence & dynamics, scouting new suppliers to support the business growth. Deploy a global preferred supplier strategy to improve supplier quality, delivery and cost.

What we look for

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, International Trading or related Business Degree. Master degree is a plus. At least 3 years experience in sourcing. Experience with HVAC, Security and Controls, Electrical parts knowledge are added advantage Language: Fluent in Chinese / English is must. Ability to handle APAC region will be added advantage. Excellent negotiation skills, being able to build a compelling case and convince others; familiar with contracting Good interpersonal skills to enable and manage strategic relationships Adaptable towards a rapidly changing environment Experience in working in multi-cultural teams Advance in MS Excel especially well-verse in generating Pivot Table and VLOOKUP is a must Experience in analyzing data and sensitive with data
