Safety Technician

Responsibility Level:
Maintain the health and safety of the plant workforce by monitoring and evaluation of health and safety conditions assuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and government standards; and drive the Industrial Hygiene and Safety Programs.
Typical Duties:
Implement safety and security, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene programs.
Coordinates plant safety & security education and training programs.
Assists the line organization in developing job safety analyses (JSA’s) and safe operating procedures for all tasks and in investigating incidents and accidents.
Regularly HS check and audit, record findings and follow up corrective actions.
Regularly environment monitoring and prepare monitoring report.
Assist onsite work permit check and approval.
Overtime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Report all injuries, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and occupational health issues and ensure that you take any immediate corrective action and assist in investigations.
Safety & health Duties:
Support and adhere to all safe working practices, systems of work and health & safety rules.
Keep work areas clean and orderly, maintaining good housekeeping standards and incorporating “clean as you go”.
Use and maintain all required PPE.
Review and participate in risk assessments to ensure you are aware of the hazards in your area, including the use of the materials/chemicals.
Advise employees and facility management of unsafe conditions and acts. Report all non-conformances with safety rules.
Actively participate in team safety discussions.
Contribute to the development of health and safety systems and procedures in your area.
Follow all hygiene requirements to proactively reduce chemical and lead exposures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Environment Duties:
Participate in the identification of environmental factors, and be responsible for the control of environmental factors of the post.
Participate in environmental coordination and information exchange.
Receive ISO14001 system training implemented by the company and the department.
Comply with the requirements of the company's environmental management system.
Actively participated in the company's emergency drills for environmental emergencies.
Timely report violations and emergencies as required and actively participate in the investigation and implementation of improvements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1 Education & Working experience
At least 2 years EHS work experience (MNC work experience is preferred).2 Obligatory Knowledge & Skills
Familiar with EHS related law and regulations. Hazardous identification and risk evaluation skill. Incident investigate and analysis. ISO45001&ISO14001 internal audit skill (Certificate by 3rd party is preferred). Good at MS-office Word/Excel/PPT software. Good Mandarin Chinese & Basic English reading and writing skill (CET-4 and above is preferred). Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.3 Core c ompetency
