The KG is  seeking a passionate and qualified Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher to nurture the development of 2-3-year-old students. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the holistic growth of young learners in a multicultural setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Classroom Management:
   • Establish a welcoming and safe classroom environment conducive to early childhood development.
   • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring a balance between structured learning and play.
2. Curriculum Development:
   • Collaborate with the curriculum team to design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
   • Integrate language development, social skills, and early literacy into daily activities.
3. Individualized Learning:
   • Recognize and cater to the diverse needs of each child in the class.
   • Implement strategies to support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of 2-3-year-olds.
4. Parental Communication:
   • Foster open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
   • Organize parent-teacher conferences and workshops to encourage active parental involvement.
5. Multicultural Sensitivity:
   • Embrace and celebrate cultural diversity within the classroom.
   • Create an inclusive environment that respects and appreciates various cultural backgrounds.
6. Health and Safety:
   • Ensure the well-being of students by maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment.
   • Implement health and safety protocols in alignment with international standards.

Qualifications:

• Possession of international teaching qualifications such as PGCE, QTS, etc.(TELF/Tesol not included)
• Due to visa requirements, applicants must be native English speakers from one of the following eight countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Singapore, South Africa.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar kindergarten position.
• The contract begins on August 1, 2024, for a duration of 2 years. For overseas applicants, arrival in Chengdu is required by July 28, 2024, to handle work permit and visa procedures. For teachers already in China, there is flexibility in the timing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments.
