We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, IT Business Analyst - IBCN-COE-IT

Principal responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for IT projects and initiatives. Create clear and comprehensive functional specifications, or jira tickets to facilitate the development of IT solutions. Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and understanding of requirements. Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource availability. Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and issues and implementing proactive mitigation strategies. Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including requirement workshops, status updates, and post-implementation reviews. Manage project budgets, expenses, and vendor resource to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency, and the delivery of high-quality projects. Facilitate the successful implementation and deployment of IT solutions in SIT phase by collaborating closely with IT QA team, to ensure comprehensive SIT completion. And coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts and ensure a seamless adoption of IT solution by end-users. Ensure meticulous preparation of project release documentation and artifacts, strictly adhering to the HSBC’s established procedures, governance and standards, as well as compliance with all relevant external regulations. Offer proactive support to promptly troubleshot production issues and skillfully resolve problems and optimal system performance. Go above and beyond to guarantee that the responsible systems achieve full compliance with the HSBC’s Non-Functional Requirements, encompassing essential aspects like Cyber Security, Identity and Access Management, Service Continuity, Data. Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-8 years of experience with securities application systems or algorithm trading systems, working experience in local securities company preferred. As required by the Chinese regulator CSRC, the role holder must pass the securities industry qualification exam.

Professional Skills & Experience

Experience or knowledge of China securities market. Good knowledge of SDLC, project management methodologies, and system implementation processes. Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst and/or IT Project Manager, with a track record of successful project delivery. Basic understanding of Linux and Windows OS. Basic understanding of Database knowledge.

Personal Skills & Qualities

Good written and oral communication skills in Chinese, and able to communicate in English. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on business impact and deadlines. Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
