The Role

Mission

As Test & Validation Engineerfor the ICA Shanghai SF R&D team, you will be part of the global headquarter team, and part of a new product & business development that is key to further strengthens Atlascopco strong market position with focus on the Chinese market.

Your mission is to lead the assembly, integration and validation/testing of high-quality screw-feeding systems and sub-systems for R&D projects.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assembly

Perform machines assembly and modification, debug and test run according to required specifications, drawings and work instructions.Accomplish manual rework and mechanical modification with tools and debug of mechanical components.Pneumatic assembly of air logic and air cylinders including debug of pneumatic circuitry.Ensure 5S standards at work site and that safe work practices are always maintained on the workshop.Checking quality of suppliers’ work/components and manage the rework process with internal and external stakeholders.Conduct Quality Checks and participate in continuous improvement activities. Electrical assembly and wiring of controller systems.

Testing and Validation

Perform testing and validation of sub-systems or complete SF systems.Set-up and calibrate screw-feeding machines to meet desired specifications.To support R&D projects by taking the lead on the long-term validation process including set-up, day-to-day debugging, root-cause-analysis and technical reports.Inspect, clean and package product for shipment including documentation.

Other Functions

Support customer installation and commissioning at customers’ sites if needed(field test project).Support repair and troubleshooting requests from customer or service.Training of assembly, testing and repair functionsResponsible to maintain a clean and structured shop floor including the maintenance of assembly and test equipment.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Works closely with different departments providing feedback and recommending changes to improve design, operation or quality of test, assembly, tooling and processes.Strictly follow the safety procedures and work instructions, be directly responsible for personal safety in workplace. Correctly wear Personal Protective Equipment. Actively participate safety training, self-learning and other activities. Report safety risks to prevent accident.

What we expect of you? 

Education & Experience

Graduate from college in mechanical or electrical engineeringMinimum of 5 years mechanical, or electrical assembly experience in Automation or similar industry with high quality requirementsExperience in tightening and spindle applications.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other precision measurement tools (e.g., scales, calipers, micrometers, height gage)Ability to read assembly, mechanic and pneumatic drawing including electric engineering flow charts.Demonstrated detailed root cause analysis troubleshooting skills.Bench work and electrical engineer knowledge is a plus.Must be able to coordinate with customer center, marketing, service, R&D and suppliers.Good PC and MS Office skillsBasic English skills
