Global Commodity Manager, Passive Electrical Commodities

We are looking for a committed supply chain expert The Commodity Manager (GCM) is a key player in making sure the company’s products are cost-effective and that the supply chain is resilient and responsive to market changes.
In this role, GCM is responsible for making sure that our company gets the best quality and price for these commodities, as well as minimizing the risks and disruptions in the supply chain. You will be involved in strategic sourcing by collaborating with engineering, ID, BU, finance, and global operations organizations. Your effective ability to work with CMs and the cross functional teams on commodity strategy will directly impact our business success. Besides managing the commodities, we also hope that the professional can use data analysis and digital transformation to improve the supply chain process with a demonstrated history of success in their career.
What you'll be doing:
Develop and execute company’s commodities strategy: Overseeing sourcing, reviewing, and purchasing commodities.
Deploy global supply chain activities, risk mitigation and higher resiliency in reaction to new requirements.
Evaluate, select, and qualify suppliers: Recommending new suppliers to management and negotiating favorable prices and terms of purchase.
Work with suppliers to optimize cost, supply flexibility and quality performance and manage CMs to execute the cost reduction initiatives.
Market analysis: Studying market trends to identify potential supply chain issues and navigate market risks.
Budget management: Ensuring that project-approved budgets are adhered to.
Prevent and solve complex supplier issues for revenue attainment.
Collaborate with cross-functional Operations teams and leverage Power BI and other world class tools to optimize supply chain processes and improve collaboration amongst Operations team.
Analyze data and present results to help management identify key trends for decision making in a variety of domains.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree and above: Major in engineering or supply chain management, etc.
Professional Certification like CPSM/CIPS/CPPM/PMP is preferred.
8+ Years of experience: At least 5 years in sourcing, supply chain or commodity management specifically in passive electrical commodities.
Experience of EMS factory supply chain management, knowledge about GPU and networking products is a plus.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Strong leadership skills: Ability to lead and work well with subordinate personnel from various departments.
Solid knowledge of markets: Understanding the factors that influence commodity prices, lead-time, risk mitigation, etc.
Advanced modeling and predictive analytical skills; "Advanced User" of MS Office. Experience with system tools like Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Windchill and Agile is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including good English command with the ability to present to management required.
