YOUR ROLE
  • Manage the full Product Lifecycle strategy for Henkel's APAC Packaging Adhesives product lines through managing customer- supplier- and regulatory driven changes, and to drive for customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate introduction of new products developed through our Innovation Teams key development programs, as well as to coordinate all tasks related to set-up within our organization and systems.
  • Develop and execute a product plan and portfolio strategy for the regional SBU within Asia, in line with the business plans and global technology portfolio strategies and accomplish Strategic Business Unit (SBU) financial goals by aligning with senior leadership.
  • Drive programs to reduce product costs (raw material, operating, freight & warehousing, complexity reduction, reformulations), establish and attain target processing cost through collaboration with key stakeholders within the Henkel network, to achieve optimum product line profitability.
  • Manage security of raw material supply and allocation of raw materials, as well participate in the monitoring and management of product margins (raws relative to pricing action) through collaboration with Purchasing,
  • Operations, Pricing Management, and the Packaging SBU.
  • Coordinate and manage for the Packaging SBU any adjustments to the operations network and/or tollers.
  • Ensure Product Lifecycle Management activities are well aligned with business objectives within the region.
  • Accountabilities (Time in %)

  • Lead product portfolio and product lifecycle management, support new product launch, lead product sample approval, product changes, product classification, product promotion, product complexity management and product sustainability to maintain the healthy product portfolio. 35%
  • Develop product & portfolio strategy for the assigned product line, align with business heads, marketing strategy and product technology roadmap to achieve business goals.                                         10%
  • Drive profitability improvement, product cost management for both new and commercialized products, low & negative margin management, initiate product localization project and raw material replacement projects to continue improving the profitability.                                         25%
  • Champion to address all the product requests on responsible technology, and issues to support sales growth and mitigate business impact, including ad-hoc supply crisis, critical product quality, 3PM product issues and product regulatory and compliance issues etc. 20%
  • Support other global and regional projects.                                        10%

YOUR SKILLS
  • Successfully completed a university degree in business or related technical discipline. MBA is desirable.
  • At least 8 years working experience in related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Product Line Management/ Marketing / Product Development / Technical Customer Service or related experience is required.
  • Adhesives, Packaging, Metal Packaging industry experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years commercial experience in target markets for the product line desirable.
  • Knowledge in (and/or) Hot Melt, Water based, Polyurethane, Acrylics, Surface Treatment like Lubricants, Cleaners and Conversion coatings is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize/organize workload. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, lead and influence to accomplish objectives through others.
  • Proficient with SAP and Data Warehouse systems is desirable.
