WHAT YOU’LL DO

We look for an Experienced Fundamental Researcher who has expertise in either the global base metals or agriculture markets. Key skillset requirements include:

Sound understanding of the logistics and supply chain of base metals or agricultural commodity trading; understand the major factors that impact global supply and demand; understand the behaviour of major players in the markets; understand the role currencies play in global commodity trading Familiar with commodity rules and regulations in different countries with respect to settlement, delivery, shipment and tax. Understand where the arbitrage bounds are for different products Worked closely with trading, has strong risk culture and understand limitations of fundamental research Strong research ability with a trading mindset. Always think about how to convert research outcome into a tradable strategy and maximize the research outcome Quantitative skillset, knows how to collect and process data, build models and running back-tests Critical and data driven Have Sharp eyes for opportunities, eager to learn and to improve

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have the below skills and experience.

A proven strong track record of research having a direct impact on profitable strategies Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a commodity analyst (global base metals or agricultural products) Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment Self-motivated and strong ability to learn Analytical and quantitative skills Collaborative attitude and continuous improvement mindset Trading experience is a plus
