Job Description

The main missions of the role are to:

he role of a Commodity Buyer is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities and ensure the overall productivity of the panel. The main missions of the role are to:

Structure the building of the panel: participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria Panel management: ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance in relation with the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager and implement a supplier¿s reduction plan consistent with Divisions and in coordination with the Business Groups Manage the global suppliers productivity in relation with plant buyers Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity Negotiate and implement general agreements with the main suppliers Ensure the utilisation of the panel by program and plant buyers Ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies Other tasks assigned by team / Manager

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Masters degree in engineering with a specialisation in international purchasing Minimum 3 years experience as a Commodity Buyer in an industrial environment Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills Ability to work in a matrixed organisation International mind set, overseas experience a plus Bi/multi-lingual (English required)
