Principal responsibilities

Contribute in all phases of the project lifecycle Provide delivery advice with consideration of technical direction for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of HSBC IT systems to business. Develop an expert-level understanding of the appropriate business systems of the Group and their associated IT development requirements. Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with the objective of optimizing operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness. Manage relationships at a product/service level with the business. Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy. Requirements Technical knowledge: Solid foundation in mathematics, physics, and computer science, with understanding of engineering principles and concepts relevant to your field. Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable parts, and propose effective solutions. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential. Communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and technical information clearly and concisely. Collaboration and teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contribute ideas, and adapt to changing project requirements. Adaptability and agility: Willingness to learn new skills, adapt to changes, and stay updated with industry trends and advancements. Attention to detail: Keen observation skills to ensure accuracy in design, calculations, and specifications.
