Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Mission
The Marketing Director leads the marketing team for Mechanisms & Structures PL, being responsible for product plan process ; She/he promotes her/his product line up through dedicated events and supports the acquisition processes. She/he provides a long-term view on market evolutions and guides the innovation strategy.

▪ Committed to report through the proper management channels any identified risky situation (eg.: Hawk’s Eye) related to hygiene, safety or environmental issues (eg.: scrap & waste management, chemicals, energy…).
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Understand market value:
• Understand the market for a given product line: competition, technology, norms and regs, segmentation, price trend, customers, and end users
• Describe and document market and customers’ expectations for engineering and sales department
• Build diagnostics and identify business opportunities: growth, profitability, innovation, cost improvement
• Provide market oriented ranking criteria to prioritize our innovation portfolio
• Is a full member of the PL Structures & Mechanisms Team
Build value offer:
• Business owner of innovation projects identification in his/her segment (s)
• Provide support and orientation to innovation projects (identify the target customers and models)
• Assess the market opportunities of new offerings
• Contribute to the definition of new offerings: functions, specs, price, positioning, and market approach
• Identify adequate business model (make versus buy, partnership, supplier panel...)
• Issue every year the product plan
• Establish the business plan and present it during innovation project milestones
Deliver value:
• In charge of bringing the innovation to the market successfully: support acquisition process, define the product communication (selling tools, demonstrators...)
• Lead the definition of a value-based pricing policy (together with costing, engineering and sales)
• Monitor the deployment of the product strategy: product improvement, footprint strategy, cost improvement, profitability
• Lead a community of people involved in his product range (transversal management)
Manage a team of Marketing Managers :
• Ensure the proper talent at the right place through internal or external recruitment processes
• As and when properly staffed and organized, responsible for coaching, developing and promoting the Sales team
• Assign objectives and follow-up
Training
• Develop and train collaborators

Qualifications et compétences requises ou souhaitées :
- Formation initiale recommandée :
• Master or Bachelor in Engineering Degree or Business
- Expérience :
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive industry
• Professional background in client facing positions (CBU, Acquisition, Program) and in Marketing
- Connaissances requises pour tenir le poste :
• Strong knowledge product and technology expertise
• Business acumen (business plan, business model)
- Compétences :
