What you will do

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and new technologies

Conduct market research and analysis to identify new technologies & potential areas for business growthEvaluate the technical and commercial viability of new opportunities

Drive open innovation initiative

Identify areas where external partnerships and collaborations can drive innovationDevelop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including start-ups, Chinese academia, scientific institutes, industry experts, policymakers, and government officials

Develop and manage strategic partnerships

Manage ongoing relationships with partners, ensuring alignment of goals and objectivesNegotiate partnership agreements and contracts

Support business development activities

Collaborate with cross-functional teamsDevelop business plans, proposals, and drive implementation

Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape

Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamicsConduct competitor analysis to identify potential threats and opportunitiesProvide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence

What you will need

Phd in Sciences or Engineering, master’s in chemical engineering or Material Science, Polymer Science or ChemistryEntrepreneurial experience or technical business development, open innovation, or a similar role in technology transferStrong technical acumen and understanding of emerging technologiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholdersFluent in Chinese and English, willing to travel within China MainlandDemonstrated ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneouslyAnalytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making
