Detailed description:
Mission of the Role: Drive the Supplier Business Review process with Executive Champions engagement to ensure alignment is attained on commercial and development plans between company and key suppliers.
Key Objectives of this Role:
Cost down activities – through executing high level negotiations and deliver supply agreements to attain world class cost, quality and timing; Provide key Purchasing/commercial support to the plants in China; Use relevant technical requirements and work with key suppliers to find optimum trade-offs for lowest total cost solution utilizing the TQCM initiative; Responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies to delivery maximum competitive advantage; Benchmarking, rationalization, development and management of critical and strategic suppliers; Supplier evaluation and selection, and relationship management; Execute best in class sourcing process to secure sourcing nomination of optimal total cost solution to support programs, through regional/global supplier quotations, negotiations and successful contract management; Identify new technologies and suppliers to give company a competitive advantage.Key Performance Indicators:
Drive the Company Purchasing Strategies / Decisions to JVs in China Balance risks to achieve lowest material cost within very tight dead-lines Support Commodity bid lists, track supplier performance and source new business Support new business pursuits and maintain database of key supplier technology capabilitiesKey Year One Deliverables:
Develop knowledge and utilize modern purchasing tools and techniques to achieve successful cost down activity Interface with suppliers or JVs to find creative solutions to maximize the benefits to secure long-term agreements. (LTA's) with key strategic partners Work closely with Buyers and Engineering teams globally on market intelligence from customers on pricing, technology and competitor benchmarking activityQualification, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor Degree, Master and major in Electronics Engineering or related are preferred 5+ years in responsible roles within an international business environment and procurement / purchasing lead experience, have electrical components purchasing experience is plus; Proven knowledge of category strategies; Value Chain analysis (VAVE, TQCM) and Supplier evaluation / selection; Effective negotiation skills and effective presentation skills; Advanced interpersonal skills and experience in multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams; Advanced skills in using the Microsoft suite of applications; Fluent in business English, and good presentation and writing skills, second foreign language skills a plus.Key Leadership Behaviors
