Job Summary

Lead a team of skilled Costume Technicians within a vibrant and dynamic theatrically diverse environment. Tasks include daily repair/refurbishment, and maintenance of specialty costumes. This includes puppets, props, and costume mechanical parts. Area of responsibility or portfolio (s) covers all related costume products enhancing corporate meetings, marquee & special events, and full support of daily theme park entertainment operations such as parades, shows, atmosphere and other presentations as required.

Major Responsibilities

• Coordinates and participate in daily repairs on costumes, puppets, props, and related mechanisms. Scope is including, but not limited to, repairing rips, air brushing, painting, distressing, changing and replacing trim and replacement of costume mechanical parts.

• Ability to take accurate measurements and alter costumes props accordingly.

• Ability to co-ordinate a team and ensure daily tasks are assigned and performed appropriately and on schedule.

• Able to learn and understand the mechanism behind all UBR’s assets and make proper judgement with regards to repairs and modifications.

• Able to follow instructions closely with regards to prototyping and information filing.

• Assist leadership team with conflict management and team building activities as required.

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• 3-5 year working experience in related area and familiarity with entertainment costume is preferred.

• Proficient in carbon fiber, molding and casting is a plus.

• Experience with variety of handcrafting, airbrushing, sculpting and mechanical techniques.

• Must be available to work all peak seasons and holidays, work nights and flexible shift times.

• Fluent in Mandarin.

Education

Cert/Bachelor' s degree in props, costume arts and related; 3-5-year working experience related area and familiarity with entertainment costume is preferred.
