About you and this role

Dow is offering an exciting opportunity for Software Developer with working locations in Shanghai Dow Office, China.

The role is responsible to design, develop, and support solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Work in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education.

In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.

It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirements Documents detailed designs Builds, tests and implements application objects Assists with issue resolution Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision

Qualifications

Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or Software Development or relevant discipline 2-3 years of software solution development experience Proficient in English General knowledge of Information technology work process, methodologies, and tools. Proficient knowledge in full-stack development (front-end and/or back-end development) Participated in application development process from requirements through implementation Familiarity with 1-2 Codes and Frameworks among: ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Frameworks, C#, AngularJS, MVC, JavaScript

Preferred Skills

Modern Web/Application Design (UI/UX) – Vue, Element Plus, Typescript Good understanding of modern design patterns and testing approaches, including unit test, automation test, and integrated and performance testing principles and frameworks. Experience and/or interest in Content Management, Product Information Management and B2B ecommerce; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or SAP (Hybris) Commerce a plus. Agile/Scrum knowledge is beneficial.
