Role Responsibilities

Job Role

As a Java developer, you will focus on technical solutions and be involved into multiple agile software development teams to deliver business values to real business. You will understand different technology silos and the integration methodology within the Bank.

You will be part of the team that constantly work on improving Collateral Management System to purchase best technical practise and business requirement satisfaction. As part of the FMTPT team, you will have opportunities to contribute to technical revolutions of banking financial systems.

Strategy

Understand the Business, functional and technical requirement and specification, identify gap in the requirement to provide feedback and track to closure of the gap in requirement.

Processes

Complete the development and testing in Java base on requirement for Collateral Management System. Support SIT / UAT / DR and go live activities on project level.

People and Talent

Stakeholders engagement and the status reporting preparation.

Risk Management

Manage defect triage and correlate symptoms with likely causes.

Governance

Maintain the production stabilities.

Key Stakeholders

Margin Ops and Clearing Ops are the key users of the systems. They are using the system to manage collateral for the bank and the clients.

Other Responsibilities

At least 8 years of extensive experience on backend technology. Extensive hands-on programming experience in Java. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Very strong understanding of multi-thread and multi-core design patterns with specific focus on concurrency and messaging patterns, instrumentation and error recovery and management. Working knowledge of streaming / data pipeline tools such as Kafka. Microservices implementation experience with focus on domain driven design. Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Netflix OSS experience. Prior experience using Redis, ElasticSearch and Grafana. RESTful API design and development. Hands on experience and knowledge on relational databases(Oracle and / or PostgreSQL). Familiarity and working experience with Openshift container platform and / or AWS will be an added advantage. Proactive issue identification, prioritization and resolution. Strong and positive influence on direction and success of front to back business change agenda. Contribution to significant advances in operational capability for processing of OTC derivatives. Clear and appropriate communication with front to back stakeholders. Low occurrence of operating incidents in production environment due to functional issues. Project assignment delivery.

Our Ideal Candidate

Good at both written and oral English, be proficient in using MS office, JIRA as well as other project management tools. Testing experience (UAT, Test Management), banking transaction system / cash management area preferred. Familiar with project and testing management knowledge, capable of running testing management alone. Strong logic reasoning ability, excellent communication skills, good team spirit and professional ethics. Experience of supporting technical and user testing, including parallel run, is essential. Adequate knowledge about automation testing tools, selenium, cucumber, genie, Jenkins, etc. Project knowledge of collateral management business process is desirable.
