Job Description

Bose Corporation is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer located in Shenzhen. Electronics Test Engineer will work as a subject matter expert in ensuring CM processes meet Bose requirements. You will guide, oversee, review, and approve the test process development of our new products. Working closely with our contract manufacturers and development teams you will identify risks and serve as a subject matter expert in test process related activities. You will have the responsibility to ensure/manage that our contract manufacturers (CMs) meet defined NPI deliverables throughout the development process. This is a global role with interfaces in China, SouthEast Asia, as well as with our North America Team.

Responsibilities:

Being a subject matter expert in PCBA , Final Assembly, and System test to support test system design and procurement.Reviewing, overseeing & approving CM developed test solutions.Conduct DFT reviews and provide input to the development teams on alternate test methods.Being responsible for ensuring adequate test coverage at the best value for Bose.Design reviewing test sequence (software script), test systems and test fixtures used in automated testing.Reviewing and approving strain analysis results, test coverage reports, measurement system analysis, capability studiesOverseeing, reviewing, and managing test related quotations for capital estimatesEnsure CM processes meet Bose requirements.Closely work with our contract manufacturers and internal Bose teams to identify and manage risks proactively.Review, comment, and approve of testing process and equipment development activitiesDrive CMs to execute NPI activities on time / within budgetEvaluate CM capabilities and gaps.Summarize project status and elevate abnormalities

Skills:

Ability to read and analyze schematics.Strong debugging skills, both software and hardware.National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW experience and ability to perform design review on test sequences developed by others as necessary.Familiarity with of MSA and how to apply it to test systemsFamiliarity with test methods for wireless and sensor technologies (Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC, IMU).Experience with audio systems, audio test equipment or measurements is a plus.Strong fundamental knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and designAnalog and digital measurement/data acquisition fundamentalsExperience using lab equipment: Multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, audio analyzersKnowledge and understanding of the application of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, USB, UART, I2S, TDM, PCM, PDM, GPIB, Ethernet, etc.Knowledge in In-Circuit test, functional test fixture and test system design and deployment in manufacturingExperience in application of DOE and other problem solving methodsProgramming capability and experience with C/C++, Python.Understanding of Agilent i3070 programming and ability to review and approve test mains developed by others, knowledge in IEEE1194.1 Boundary ScanAbility to analyze empirical data with a good understanding of statistics tools and charts.Ability to review and provide cost estimates and analysis on test system solutions and quotations provided by Bose suppliersAbility to use structured problem solving toolsBasic project management skills, scheduling, budgetingAbility to work on several different projects simultaneouslyAbility to work with teams both locally and internationally.Good verbal & written technical communication skillsFluent in speaking, reading and writing in EnglishSelf-motivated and self-drivenAbility to influence others – particularly our CMs to ensure high quality solutions are achieved on time and on budget.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering
