SRE Manager

Role Responsibilities

This role is responsible to be part of Production Engineering technology across TB where he/she needs to manage a business sensitive application. Ensure the highest service quality and stability by responding to technical incidents quickly and effectively, and drive change by analysing and identifying continuous service improvement opportunities Leading CCIB top-level initiatives, such as FMEA (failure mode impact analysis) / blameless RCA, monitoring enhancements. Real-time understanding or knowledge about critical payment service journey with strong functional & technical knowledge Responsible for knowledge management, ensuring solution steps, automation opportunities, preventive measures, etc. Fully documented, tracked until closed, and kept for future reference. Responsible for managing the production related changes, releases and rollouts with zero or minimal impact to the stability of the application. Perform detailed risk assessment for production changes and conduct quality review of deliverables to ensure contents meet the required standards. Review the dependent changes of the surround systems, infrastructure, networking etc... Responsible for ensuring proper technical plans are in place for all production changes ( fallback plan, implementation plan, data conversion etc...)

Job requirements:

Advanced in Java, Spring boot MS, Container and Public Cloud (Prefers AWS). Advanced in DB such as Oracle , AWS RDS & PostgreSQL. Solid skills in Web – Tomcat , Jboss , FUSE etc Experience in Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana etc. Able to write JavaScript/Python/ Shell script Experience in Banking Payment in mandatory. Fluent oral English speaking.

Business

Processes

Pro-Active/Preventive Maintenance

Proactively identify opportunities for change within the production environment. Analysis and deliver periodic changes to production systems to improve efficiency. Analyse and engineer changes on production systems and participate in task forces where required to improve service quality. 

People & Talent

Candidate posses latest technology skills such as Container , Cloud ,Hazelcast , Kafka , Elastic , Java and also payments domain knowledge. Train L1 & L2 resources in the application/products supported by organising training sessions. Participate in cross-training and knowledge transfer activities within support teams

Risk Management

Responsible for adhering to the established process of Incident, Problem, Change and Release management. Responsible to proactively identify the risks in the application and manage the mitigation actions. Responsible for managing, tracking and timely closure of risks and other compliance related issues in Riskwise (Information Security risks) & Phoenix (Operational Risks). Participate in internal / external risks and responsible for timely closure of audit action items.

Provide inputs to support manager for monthlydashboard that provide information on incident and problem trends along with SIP and RCA Action Items.
