Video Codec Algorithm Engineer

We are seeking a passionate Video Codec Algorithm Engineer to research and develop video compression algorithms/video encoder/decoder to improve real-time video quality and performance on Zoom video products. 

Responsibilities:

Research on the latest video compression technologies

Possess strong skills in the areas of development and real-time implementation of video encoder/decoder

Design and implement video compression algorithm to improve the quality

Research and development on video quality measurement 

Participate in the design and development of Zoom video products

 Requirements:

or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Excellent programming skills in C/C++, and Python.

Hands-on experience in video coding techniques (traditional method and deep learning method).

Strong experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.

Hands-on experience on deep learning structure (Transformer, CNN, RNN, etc.) optimization and acceleration

Solid knowledge of math, including linear algebra, numerical optimization, calculus, etc.

Experience with video coding standards such as , HEVC, and AV1. 

Strong analytical and research skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
