The Firmware & Test Engineering group is a global team focused on the development of Seagate’s HDD Self-Test Firmware and Test Process

About the role - you will:

● Develop Auto Diagnosis for HDD in Java
● Develop HDD Firmware and Self-Test platform in C/Python
● Improve the performance of HDD Self-Test Process
● Work with DC and factory teams to analyze and fix issues during HDD Self-Test Process
● Work with cross-function teams to improve product yield, test time, and quality performance.

About you:

● Master degree. Knowledge of Science or Engineering, major in Computer or Software engineering
● Good understanding of embedded firmware & software architecture
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills, Able to use verbal and written communication in English
● Can work independently, innovative, disciplined, Active, self-motivative, A positive attitude for work and willingness to accept challenges
● Good logical ability, strong learning ability and good problem-solving skills
● Down-to-earth attitude with good teamwork

Your experience includes:

● Java language programming
● Python language programming
● C language programming
● Troubleshooting, analyzing, designing, and debugging capability.
● Cross-functional team working
● Master and/or equivalent experience
● Data analysis and processing skill
● Knowledge of Storage System
● Fluent English

Location:

Located in the high technology district, our site in Wuxi is a global manufacturing hub, where more than 4,100 employees deliver technical services, customer test, manufacturing, and support capabilities.
