Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching and Learning:
  • Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum (e.g., IB DP, AP, A-Level, or equivalent).
  • Teach a range of mathematical topics, including algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, and applied mathematics, tailored to high school standards.
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations with a focus on achieving high academic standards.
2. Curriculum Development:
  • Collaborate with the Mathematics Department to develop, review, and enhance the curriculum.
  • Incorporate technology and modern tools (e.g., graphing calculators, online platforms) to support teaching and learning.
  • Integrate real-world applications and interdisciplinary approaches to make mathematics relatable and impactful.
  • Assist in preparing students for competitive exams or advanced studies in mathematics.
3. Classroom Management:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and academic inquiry.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behavior and achievement.
  • Track and manage student progress through detailed record-keeping and reporting.
4. Professional Development:
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning, including subject-specific training and workshops.
  • Stay updated with developments in mathematics education and best practices in pedagogy.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives.
5. School Community Engagement:
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and extracurricular programs.
  • Mentor students in mathematical competitions or clubs, fostering a deeper interest in the subject.


RequirementsQualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the high school level, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Proficiency in teaching advanced-level mathematics, such as IB Mathematics (AA/AI), AP Calculus, or equivalent courses.
  • Strong understanding of assessment frameworks and strategies for high school mathematics.
