What you'll do:

We are looking for software developers with strong programming skills and a passion for creating great user experience. Successful applicants will have a strong ability to learn, combined with the tenacity to solve problems independently and a strong focus on the details required to create first rate software.

SAP HANA is a global leader in high-performance mission-critical enterprise database systems and keeps growing as a core platform for enterprise data management and analytics. HANA Cloud Database Kernel Team is one of the core and privileged teams for SAP HANA development, covering a wide spectrum of technology components. It includes the core data integration features such as federation and replication, database migration service and cloud data export/import, workload management, client/server session management, metadata management, connectivity, elastic compute scaling, and even more. The team has contributed to the success of SAP HANA significantly with new innovations (holding more than 100 registered or filed patents) and feature delivery in quality. In this job, we are seeking a passionate intern who’ll contribute to HANA’s superior federation engine (called Smart Data Access or SDA) with highly skilled developers located in Xian, China. Possible contribution areas are (but not limited to) data management by federation and replication.

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Student at university in computer science or related fields Experience in SQL, Python, Git Experience in C/C++ Responsibility, integrity, teamwork Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn quickly new concepts and technologies Qualifications for the role (please indicate if qualification is desired or necessary) Can work for 3-5 days a week for at least 6 months onsite in Xi'an
