We are looking to hire a Structural Engineer to join our team of experts in a dynamic and growing company that is driving the energy transition. What you will be doing.

Our Structural engineer will be responsible for Offshore Technical Services project management, from initial enquiries through to project execution. Coordinating proposal generation project set-up and project execution. Work within a team of engineers and be responsible for the planning, verifying and execution of projects. To be familiar with all aspects of ABL services and key deliverables. Conduct calculations for design and plan appraisal purposes. Assessing structures of offshore/marine structures. Ensure projects meet client requirements and classification rules and regulations. Assist with the preparation of proposals for bids and tender inputs.  Prepare as required and assist with engineering design, calculations, and analysis for designs of various structure elements of the project under international codes and standards. Assist (as assigned by the manager or project lead) to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by ABL and/or the Client. Attend regular internal meetings and external/third-party meetings as required. Participate in engineering-related reviews and audits. Guide the work of junior engineers. MWS surveys on site according to ABL standards. And other duties as assigned. The role is office based in Shanghai, China, and the candidate must have the right to live and work in China. Flexibility towards working hours may be required as onsite attendance and time with clients, with a willingness to travel (including offshore) and work within a variety of time zones.

Someone with attention to detail a high level of integrity and diplomacy, and the ability to prioritize work. The successful candidate will be well organized, self-directed, and have great interpersonal skills and a global mindset. In addition, you: Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years of professional experience and relevant expertise with offshore fixed and mobile structures. Sound knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to structural analysis & designs Full understanding of classification societies and their design requirements. Good decision-making capability with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. Accurate reporting and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time.  Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership ability and be able to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously.  Able to work in a team. Strong people and project management skills. Expertise in Knowledge of Naval Architect and Offshore. Strong Engineering analysis and design of computer programs. Attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy. Results-orientated and client-focused. Proactive and able to show initiative in problem-solving. Influential with business and people acumen. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
