As a core product offering within our advertising portfolio, Sponsored Products helps sellers, and brand owners succeed via native advertising, which grows incremental sales of their products sold through Amazon. The Asia Cross-border Amazon Advertising team’s core goals are to help advertisers to meet their business objectives, and build a stronger business that continuously innovates on behalf of customers, and are dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for cross-border brands of all sizes. Our ad solutions—including sponsored ads, display, video, audio, and custom ads—leverage Amazon’s innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage audiences throughout their daily journeys. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more.

Within our China Cross-border Amazon Advertising Marketing organization, we are seeking an accomplished business leader to bring the Amazon Advertising Sponsored Products to empower CN sellers growth on Amazon globally. The right candidate will have a track record of leading a team of marketers and content developers to deeply understand customer needs, build product content strategies, go to market roadmap, and measure impact for owned, 3P channels and programs. This role will have end-to-end ownership of strategic business planning through execution for financial targets, SP users growth and retention, reactivation and success. This person should be analytical, results oriented, relentlessly focus on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for business operation and delivery. This person should be passionate about solving customer needs and innovation with the goal of driving step changes on the business and influencing product roadmaps. You will also report out on program health regularly to key stakeholders and partner teams across the organization. This position will be based in Shanghai and will report to the Head of Marketing, Asia Cross-Border.

This is highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across China and global team, executive leadership, Product Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Research, Finance, Channel Marketing, Sales, and PR, and requires strong Chinese and English communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires a strategic and innovative business leader and a solid story teller to drive SP growth through inspiration and though leadership on the seller facing programs and channels. As an owner, you will define the sponsored products growth strategy and roadmap for 1P and 3P programs and channels. You will also drive efficiencies in the business operations and reviews, as well as up-level the storytelling to inspire customers while scaling globally across 21 marketplaces.

Key job responsibilities
Market Development
•Be a master knowing CN seller needs and product knowledge inside out, and an advocate for CN sellers needs.
•Develop market deep dive to identify business opportunities, trends, and sellers analysis.
•Develop and execute a long-term growth strategy for the business, in partnership with Products, Partners, Product Marketing and Insights and other Amazon teams and functions.
Business Development and Marketing
•Owns business targets and budgets, track and monitor performance metrics to ensure the deliveries.
•Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the crossborder market to elevate business development and and cultivate consumer engagement.
•Create, measure and track performance metrics, optimize marketing and program plans, and deliver financial targets and business objectives.
•Deep data analysis, and use insights to drive consistent improvement
•Be an influencer, and drive the strategic and creative business vision; Meanwhile, build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and a broad spectrum of functions, such as marketing, finance, legal and compliance, partners and sales.
Team Leadership and Operations
•Hire exceptional talents for Amazon; Develop leaders, and lead a team of high performers in creative marketing, and business marketing, move them throughout the organization
•Create, prioritize, and drive opportunities from a strategic, financial and operational perspective.
•Maximizes financial and talent resources for the long term success of the business as a whole

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- 15 years of experience in business development, product partnerships, or marketing management in advertising or ecommerce or tech
- Experience building and leading teams, and building networks in cross orgs
- Understanding of the crossborder industry opportunity, and a commitment to advance China SMB’ SP strategies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
- MBA or other equivalent advanced degree
- Experience with P&L management in large business
- Knowledge and experience in business development, or business strategy with advertising or ecommerce or tech
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization, to build partnership and to rally teams across orgs
