We are looking for a Bilingual Chinese Teacher 中文老师 for an International School in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

About school

The school is the first K12 school in China dedicated to the children of returnees, overseas Chinese and students who wish to receive an internationalized Chinese education. The school has small bilingual classes with no more than 24 students per class. It is the only IB World School in Suzhou that can admit Chinese students.

Job responsibilities

  • Teach the subject of Chinese language to middle school students ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
  • Teaching certificate
  • Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
