Academic Principal

We are looking for an  Academic Principal  for an international high school located in Qingdao. This is a full-time position starting in February 2024.

About the school

There is an international boarding school situated in Qingdao's Chengyang District. It follows the American Common Core system as well as providing Advanced Placement courses for secondary school pupils and encourages an English-speaking atmosphere to get its students ready for well-known universities worldwide.

Principal responsibilities

• Administration of teaching affairs related to the international courses for high school sector
• Co- work on curriculum development
• Development of fusion courses, including British culture and contemporary approaches to learning
• Designing and Overseeing teacher’s PD programmes
• Coordinating school’s international affairs, ie. student exchange, foreign expert visit, transnational academic cooperation

Teaching responsibilities

• Providing 15 teaching periods a week (English, Social Studies, Mathematics or Science）

Requirements

• Familiarity with the US education system
• Experience of senior administration within US schools (at least 3 years)
• Principal/head teacher experience at one or multiple well-established US schools is highly desired
• Knowledge of the Chinese education system (desirable)
• Working experience in China (desirable)
• Bachelor degree or above, major in education or science
