Kindergarten English Teacher

We are looking for a Kindergarten English Teacher for an International School in Xiamen. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

This prestigious K-12 international school, established through a partnership with a historic English educational institution and located in Xiamen's Jimei District, offers a comprehensive education from kindergarten through high school. The school aims to nurture leaders who possess a solid understanding of global cultures, an international perspective, and the skills necessary for future success.

 

Job responsibilities

Together with teaching assistants, support the children in their learning‐journey from Monday to Friday. During this time, you will:

  • Teach daily class activities to kindergarten students aged 3-6 as assigned by the school, creating an English learning environment
  • Lesson planning, daily classroom management and classroom activities organization
  • Utilize games, music, books, art, technology and other resources to teach basic skills and foster children development
  • Collaborate with other teachers, instructors, and staff members to create an optimal learning care environment, and an appropriate classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Help children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and assess each child’s performance and progress on regular basis

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • 2 years of experience in IB EYFS or a comparable early childhood education framework
