Academic Principal

Les Roches Global Hospitality Education was founded in 1954, and is one of the world’s leading hospitality business schools. It has two international campuses (Crans-Montana and Marbella) with more than a hundred nationalities enrolled. For our upcoming Shanghai campus, we are looking for our future  Academic Principal / 100% , a new permanent contract. With a focus on innovative teaching methods, including technology and online options, the Academic Principal  drives excellence  in teaching, in managing and in learning through pedagogical innovations. He/She collaborates closely with colleagues, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and outstanding communication skills, all rooted in hospitality domain expertise.

Main responsibilities :

Cultivate an atmosphere that nurtures academic brilliance, mutual respect, trust, aligning with brand/campus ethos and values, Strategize, articulate, and champion the school's vision and program array to the community, Oversee teaching and learning initiatives, managing teams and budgets efficiently, Recruit, orient, nurture, and assign faculty for graduate and post-graduate programs, occasionally teaching if required, Lead and supervise team's faculty, ensuring program planning, delivery, quality, and growth, while offering expertise to the academic community, Develop, monitor, enhance, and oversee cutting-edge undergraduate and graduate programs, Proactively network with the hospitality industry, leveraging external expertise, guest speakers, and potential employers students, Foster seamless communication among stakeholders, ensuring effective dialogue and collaboration.

Qualifications:

in a business-related discipline, alternatively a Master of Business Administration or equivalent degree with significant industry experience, Minimum 8 years of managerial experience in the field of education  at university level and business, Minimum 3 years teaching, Pragmatic and entrepreneurial, Outstanding verbal and written communication skills , and fluency in spoken and written English, Demonstrated ability to work with multicultural teams and in an international environment, Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Your mission :

Reporting to the Campus Principal you will overseefaculty activities including creating work plans, monitoring execution, andfostering professional development. You will manage student processes likeinduction, testing, discipline, support, and promote student-centered learningwith technology. You will enhance employability and participate in externalmarketing, open days, and student recruitment efforts.
