Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Faculty and Staff Management
  • Faculty and Staff Management: Take a proactive role in the management of faculty and staff by setting clear expectations, providing consistent feedback, and regularly evaluating performance through a transparent process. Develop and implement a staff appraisal system that aligns with the school’s strategic goals and the professional development needs of the staff. 
  • Professional Development: Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement by identifying the professional development needs of faculty and staff. Plan and execute training programs and workshops that enhance skills, knowledge, and competencies aligned with the IB curriculum and modern educational trends.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts among staff or between staff and parents or students with effective strategies, to maintain a positive school atmosphere.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources including teaching materials, technology, and physical space to ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively to support educational goals and initiatives. Advocate for additional resources as needed to enhance the school’s programs.
  • New Teacher Recruitment: Collaborate closely with the HR Department in hiring process, interview candidates with expertise and select qualified teachers aligned with the school's values and IB concept.
2. Children Protection and Student Development
  • Operational Oversight for Children Safety: Oversee the school's administrative processes and implement child protection policy to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Coordinate with the teachers to eliminate any potential safeguarding risks. Implement robust policies on bullying, harassment, and discrimination that reflect the IB's values of respect and dignity for everyone.
  • Curriculum Oversight: Implement and uphold the IB framework, ensuring all aspects of the curriculum align with IB standards and the overarching goals of the school. This involves regular curriculum reviews and updates in collaboration with coordinators and teaching staff to integrate the latest educational research and pedagogical advancements. Ensure that teaching methodologies not only adhere to IB standards but also cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Extra-Curriculum Activities: Design and implement school activities, Summer Camp and Winter Camp to support not just academic success, but also cultivate emotional intelligence and social skills. Facilitate engagement through local and global community service projects and initiatives that promote international-mindedness and civic responsibility.
  • Emotional and Social Learning: Integrate structured emotional and social learning (SEL) within the IB framework to enhance students' abilities to manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
  • Student Support Services: Coordinate student support services that align with the IB's focus on learner diversity and well-being. This includes access to counseling, academic support, and mentoring, ensuring that these services foster an environment where students thrive both personally and academically.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes that ensure all educational programs and initiatives meet or exceed the set standards. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the IB framework in achieving educational outcomes and make necessary adjustments to strive towards the school's status as a leading IB World School.
3. Students Enrollment
  • Attract and engage prospective families for the IB program, actively supporting admissions events including open houses, information sessions, campus tours, and more. 
  • Partner with the marketing team to oversee the creation and dissemination of compelling content across various platforms, such as the school newsletter, videography projects, social media channels, and updates to brochures, lists, and reports. Manage communications database maintenance to ensure effective outreach and engagement with current and prospective families.
4. Strategic Planning and Budget Management
  • Participate in strategic planning with the school’s leadership team, supervise and follow-up the implementation by regular conferences and dialogues with the Board.
  • Develop and manage the primary school budget, allocating resources effectively to support educational and operational priorities.
5. Community Engagement
  • Provide regular updates, educational workshops, and collaborative opportunities that engage parents to actively participate in their child's IB education.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance educational opportunities and integrate community resources into the learning experience.
  • Providing a liaison between the school and the IBO. Responding to requests for information from the IBO. 


RequirementsRequired Qualifications
● Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
● Administrative experience in an IB World School, preferably in a PYP environment.
● Proven track record of successful school leadership and team management.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong commitment to inclusive education and diversity.
● Experience in an international school setting.

Employment Conditions
● This position may require occasional weekend and evening hours.
● The Principal is expected to be visible in school events.
