Main Purpose of the Role

 

Manage the performance of the sales function for a region in line with the Divisional strategy and operating plan to maximize sales and expand market share.

 

Key Responsibilities :

(The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)

 

  • Translate divisional and national sales strategies into operational plans for the region to drive sales and meet and exceed targets.
  • Implement operational plans and priorities which align with the national sales strategy.
  • Plan, canvas and develop new business opportunities and initiate new sales concepts to maintain and expand market share.
  • Analyze and report on sales opportunities and achievements, and use data analyses to identify further opportunities.  
  • Motivate, manage, and develop a team of sales representatives to ensure achievement of pre-determined targets for the region.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients and other internal and external stakeholders through regular and ongoing communication.
  • Constantly evaluate and improve sales methods, to ensure maximum efficiency. 
  • Deliver sales presentations and proposals if/when required.
  • Provide input into the annual budget for the region that supports the sales strategy and sales operating plan.
  • Manage and attain budget objectives for the region.
  • Work closely with Marketing Services/Media Analysts to support the sales strategies. 
  • Keep abreast of latest trends in sales effectiveness and adopt new approaches as required to expand client base and increase revenue.

Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: At least 8 years of sales experience perferred in the oral/medical device field.
  • Sales Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a people manager.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; dental major, clinical medicine major, with MBA degree is preferred.
  • Others: Adhere to professional ethics, proactive, result oriented, willing to take ownership aggressively, excellent learning ability and cooperative spirit, player-learner mindset.
