PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

  • The IS Infrastructure organization designs, implements and operates a state of the art information systems infrastructure serving over 14,000 employees, in over 100 locations across 40 countries.   • We are looking for a dynamic and energetic person to join our team as the Network Architect with a focus on Network, Telecom, and Security. He/she will be working closely with peers in other region, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the regional network, telecommunications and network security infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of bioMerieux's network, particularly in areas such as SD-WAN, Voice over IP (VoIP), SIP trunking, Call Center Infrastructure (Verizon Contact Center services), alongside robust firewall and security measures.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and support the ASPAC network infrastructure, with a keen focus on SD-WAN, Fortinet firewall configurations, Cisco IPT system, Cisco Contact Center, and encompassing advanced voice and security technologies.
  • Oversee all aspects of Telecom and Network Security services, focusing on the service life cycle, security policies, and the enhancement of service security.
  • Design and implement comprehensive firewall policies and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to conduct network risk assessments, security audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Provide strategic consultation to business units on technology-related decisions, emphasizing security, technology optimization, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Engage with third-party providers for the resolution of complex telecommunication and security issues, ensuring the reliability and integrity of network services.

KNOWLEDGE, LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 5-10 years of relevant experience in network engineering and security.
  • Expert knowledge of network, firewall configurations, network security measures, and the development of security policies (experience with Fortinet products preferred).
  • Proficiency in VoIP protocols (SIP, SCCP, H.323, MGCP), understanding of telecom infrastructure protocols (ISDN signaling), and familiarity with Cisco Unified Communication products.
  • Demonstrated project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing complex, transformational IT security initiatives.
  • Certifications in network & security (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISM,  Security) are highly desirable.
  • Candidates must have good English reading and writing abilities, English will be standard working language in BIOMERIEUX
