Responsibilities: As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's data infrastructure and systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect, process, and analyze data, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect and transform data from various sources.

  • Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and develop robust data solutions that meet business needs.

  • Building and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.

  • Developing and implementing data governance and data management best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Conducting data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation activities to maintain data accuracy and consistency.

  • Identifying and implementing advanced data analytics tools and techniques to extract valuable insights from complex datasets.

  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure the efficient operation and performance of data platforms and infrastructure.

  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing data engineering practices and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, handling large-scale data projects.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java, and experience with data manipulation and transformation frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is highly desirable.

  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets and identify patterns and trends.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential.
