  • Scope of work:
  • - Team member of the Large Chiller Development organization
  • - Responsible for chiller component structure design, including heat exchangers, pressure vessel, system piping, machine layout, etc.
  • - Works in a team environment and must interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier chain, lab Technicians, and outside vendors.
  • - Self-directed and capable of making project decisions with minimal input to meet project schedule and quality.
  • - Maintain an awareness of applicable new technologies, design methodologies, industry standards, and competitive products.
  • - Responds promptly to customer needs as they apply to the resolution of problems relating to technical product operation.

Accountabilities:

- Knowledge of pressure vessel design and manufacture, familiar with GB and ASME standard of pressure vessels.

- Should have pressure vessel working experience, and steel structure design experience is preferred.

- Have a thorough working knowledge of manufacturing process/methods, material, welding, and heat treatment process.

- Experience in engineering document control and familiar with processing revisions on product documentation.

- Have the ability to conceptualize designs and manufacturing methods to optimize production or cost reduction.

Qualification & Requirement:

Education: BS/MS in Mechanical or related engineering, Technical certification.

- Pressure vessel approval certification and steel structure design certification are preferred.

Work experience: 2-5 years preferred.

Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Language ability: English skills - oral, reading, and writing.

Personality: Good communication with internal or cross-functional teams. Adapts to change by identifying needs, adjusting, and working with others as appropriate to implement initiatives.

Other competencies: Finite Element Analysis capability with commercial software (ANSYS) or other FEA software.
