Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the Position:

  • SHE
  • To implement INEOS SHE best practices within the Yaraco JV team, establish yearly SHE performance objectives, and provide monthly reports on JV SHE performance to INEOS.
  • Collaborate with the JV team to grasp the definition of the INEOS SHE scorecard and transition from previous SHE performance indicators.
  • Act as a SHE supervisor, addressing unsafe behaviors of Yaraco employees and contractors, and providing feedback to JV leadership and SHE team, especially during TARs, to enhance SHE performance.
  • Evaluate current site facility compliance issues in comparison to the latest national standards and devise mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with Yaraco's business operations.
  • Ensure timely closure of all compliance actions mandated by local regulators.
  • Establish and execute the JV self-assessment audit program as per the agreed schedule.
  • Collaborate with the JV team to perform project SHE evaluations as needed during each project phase.
  • Supervise the AA MOC process implementation and risk assessment.
  • Share INEOS plant SHE insights with the JV, pinpoint potential discrepancies, develop relevant mitigation plans, and ensure timely completion of actions.
  • Manufacturing Excellence
  • Work with the JV team to oversee and evaluate production efficiency and update technical standards.
  • Collaborate with the JV team to establish annual production plans and key performance indicators for reliability and cost savings.
  • Ensure the application of INEOS CATIVA technology in Yaraco JV maintains a competitive edge in China.
  • Evaluate Capex projects to guarantee their contribution to enhanced safety and production efficiency.
  • Partner with the INEOS Technology Support Team and JV team to formulate a technology roadmap project aimed at enhancing Yaraco's production efficiency to sustain a competitive position in Acetic Acid production in China.
  • Oversee third-party transactions and contractor selection in the technology and engineering domains.
  • Support JV new projects to safeguard INEOS' interests, particularly the new reactor replacement project.

Required Profile:

  • Sector Experience: 15 years in Petrochemicals in China
  • Education: University degree in engineering or chemistry discipline
  • Functional Experience: in SHE, petrochemical operations, technology, and engineering.
  • Experience in collaborating with JVs.
  • Languages: Proficient in Mandarin & English (Reading, Speaking, Writing)
  • Tools: Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Additional Desirable Profile: Project management experience, Understanding of joint ventures is highly advantageous, Experience in state enterprises.
