- Act as a key liaison with cross-functional teams for significant component selection during the NPI phase; identify redesign needs and lead related efforts.
- Develop and implement a Harman commodity sourcing strategy based on business requirements, supply chain performance, market dynamics, emerging technologies, and more.
- Stay abreast of market and industry trends to provide valuable insights to the organization.
- Lead special procurement initiatives to enhance the procurement process and outcomes.
- Establish consistent commercial terms and conditions.
- Conduct effective supplier negotiations and implement cost-saving measures to achieve annual cost reduction targets.
- Cultivate strong senior-level supplier relationships.
- Execute a supplier rationalization strategy to optimize category influence.
- Oversee the bid and quote process within NPI implementation.
- Set objectives, enhancement strategies, conduct business reviews, and provide monthly reports relevant to your areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Value Engineering teams to identify potential efficiency enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.
