  • Responsible for functional, on time and within budget technical planning for the technical processing and procurement of electrical, instrumentation and automation for Capex and Opex projects and project groups.
Support cost estimations of electrical part, instruments and automation systems for projects

  • Lead the electrical discipline engineering in capex and opex projects, guide EP/EPC engineers with owners technical requirements, share with project team Lessons learned/best practices from previous projects, monitor effectiveness of EP/EPC engineering quality management system, and coordinate timely to improve/remedy in case needed.
  • Development of specifications, ITBs and typical solutions (templates, check list etc.)
to support projects.

  • Monitor and supervise suppliers, promotes and uses continuing relationships with electrical, instrument and automation system suppliers to obtain total cost of ownership benefits.
  • Consulting function in area of expertise and with EP/EPC contractors.
Assume of tasks in external panel of experts.

  • Provides technical support to resolve issues regarding electrical, instrumentation and automation from project and from internal customer, and to promote best practices and effective use of the latest knowledge across these disciplines.
  • Responsible for resource estimation of electrical, instrumentation and automation system engineering to support projects, studies, maintenance services and other activities.
  • Coordination of quality assurance for goods and services.
  • Support installation and commissioning, lead the pre commissioning for automation systems.
  • Compliance with agreed health, safety and environmental objectives
  • Support/coordinate relevant activities in global/regional technical community as job assignment.
  • Support Projects across the region Asia/Pacific, certain mobility for business trips within China & Asia/Pacific required
  • Protects BASF know how and confidential information
  • International collaboration among the Global Engineering team.
  • Education: Bachelor or above degree, relevant to electrical if prefer;
  • Working Experience: More than 5 years work experiences, At least 3 years work experiences, chemical and petrochemical industry if prefer;
  • Good knowledge of the automation systems SIEMENS S7 and SIEMENS PCS7, incl.
WinCC7 is more important;

  • Good knowledge of industiral communication systems, Industrial Ethernet, ProfiNet and other fieldbus systems;
  • Experience in Electrical Power supply / electrical heat tracing engineering is preferable
  • Other requirements: accept business trip; good English, both written and spoken。
