Overview

This is a recently established position for APAC, intended to bring innovative seasoning concepts to the snack markets in Indonesia and Vietnam and add value to both Asian markets as well. This aligns with the growing demands of Global R&D. In simple terms, this new role will drive projects aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver seasoning designs as per the 'Product Design Brief' for flavor innovation:

- Translate consumer insights into clear flavor briefs and collaborate with chosen suppliers.

- Conduct sample evaluations with PD, sensory, and marketing counterparts to finalize designs as per schedule.

- Coordinate with suppliers to submit necessary documents on time.

- Ensure seasoning functionality approval for Operations.

Assist in creating comprehensive flavor solutions for breakthrough projects.Address seasoning functionality issues with suppliers.Identify opportunities to enhance the seasoning development process for improved efficiency and quality.Support the technical dossier owner in managing seasoning documentation.Establish a strong network with the global seasoning team.Develop and maintain a sustainable relationship with key seasoning suppliers.Qualifications
  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Culinary, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred).
  • Preferably, knowledge of Asian cuisine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficient in English (upper-intermediate level).
  • Self-motivated, with a quick learning ability and logical thinking.

Distinguishing Competencies Required:

Capable of discerning and describing aroma and flavor notes, able to articulate flavors in technical or consumer-friendly terms as needed.Must pass a basic sensory qualification test.Prior experience in selecting flavors or fragrances for successful consumer products.Essential to have experience in managing suppliers in a transparent and equitable manner.Personal characteristics - Open-minded, with a curiosity for new innovations.
