Job Overview

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader - Engineering to join our team in Shanghai, China. This role involves leading the local team, focusing on multiple service lines, and driving business growth in greater China. We seek someone with a solid background in fire protection and code consulting services, particularly in the hospitality sector. The position emphasizes client engagement, business development, and operational leadership for the Shanghai office and greater China region. We are seeking an operations leader with strong business acumen and a growth-oriented mindset. This individual will report to our VP of Operations in Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Performing senior-level technical work while leading a team providing professional consulting services.
  • Coordinating all tasks and interactions as the site leader.
  • Facilitating company-wide communications and promoting a positive office culture.
  • Fostering diversity of thought and engaging employees.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and relationship management.
  • Implementing business processes and recommending improvements for service delivery.
  • Assisting in talent recruitment and retention.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in technical consulting and client relationship management.
  • China National Grade 1 Fire Engineer License.
  • Experience in hospitality management and system design.
  • Proficiency in professional service business processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or equivalent certification (desired).
  • Expertise in simulation/modeling.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
