We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Compliance Assurance.

Principal Responsibilities
  • This is a senior role within Compliance Assurance (CA) which provides assurance activities over regulatory compliance (RC) and financial crime (FC) risks in all Global Businesses and Functions including Global Markets and Securities Services (MSS)
  • The role contributes to the global standardised CA approach ensuring that it is aligned to the bank's Risk Management Framework (RMF). They are a subject matter expertise with strong understanding of MSS products and processes, and sound knowledge of regulatory compliance matters relating MSS. The role holder will also be required to lead and contribute to assurance reviews across Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMA) and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders at the regional, country and business levels
  • The role holder is responsible for driving and contributing to the delivery of end-to-end assurance work and assessing the effectiveness of risk management activities to meet relevant industry standards, country regulatory obligations and bank policy
  • The role holder will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the CA Regional Head and senior leadership team, in-country Heads of Business, Compliance senior management, in-country Internal Audit and local regulators (as required). These relationships will help align the assurance activities across the three lines of defence to prevent duplication, excessive or deficient assurance and identify key priorities
  • The role holder may have direct line management responsibility for a team of assurance professionals. This would involve ensuring that the team have the right levels of competency and knowledge to meet the overall CA objectives and the Assurance Plan, as well as managing costs in-line with agreed budgets
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of MSS and good understanding of wholesale banking, RC and FC
  • Minimum of 7 years proven experience in assurance, audit, compliance or risk management within financial services
  • Clear understanding of regulatory and financial crime compliance risk within the global financial services industry, specifically MSS
  • Relevant financial services qualifications
  • Capable of building positive and resilient partnerships with key senior stakeholders
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues
  • Proven experience in driving a local team that is part of a large complex function located in multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication skills with very strong inter-personal and influencing skills
  • Track record of leading independently and working autonomously
  • Strong decision-making capability
  • Strong English language skills (written and spoken)
