Position Overview

Pricing Actuaries are responsible for the in-force management of HK and HNW portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct experience study to monitor the ongoing experience of in-force treaties
  • Structure and develop required in-force pricing solution to maintain RGA's profitability
  • Deliver regular insurance risk monitoring report to highlight the experience and emerging trends of key in-force treaties and recommend any management action if required
  • Monitor the market risk including the interest rate capital usage against budget on an ongoing basis
  • Assist to establish framework to assess the profitability of the in-force portfolio
  • Enhance and streamline in-force management infrastructure and tools to improve efficiency
  • Provide insights drawn from in-force portfolios to develop and sharpen pricing bases
  • Handle in-force business enquiries from Business Development, Valuation, Data Administration and other regional teams
  • Support ad-hoc corporate and internal projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or related fields
  • 3-5 years working experience are required, relevant pricing experience a plus. Candidate with more working experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager
  • Accreditation as an Associate or a Fellow with a globally recognized actuarial association
  • Highly organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented and solutions focused
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem solving creativity
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in delivering findings and presentations
  • Ability to challenge and enhance existing analytical methodologies
  • Innovative, proactive and improvement oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and deal with multiple stakeholders within the business
  • Advanced Excel and strong programming skills are required; Axis is strongly preferred
