Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create, modify, and analyze the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction. Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.
This role is contributing to the Robot Automotive in Shanghai.
Responsiblities:
1) Responsible for designing and developing control systems for new projects according to customer requirements and ABB UI standards, including control circuit design, PLC programming, HMI screen design, etc.
2) Assist mechanical engineers in technical consulting with customers, understand customer needs, and propose customers with solutions.
3) Compile and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents, user manuals, and operating guides.
4) Responsible for the commissioning, production accompanying, and maintenance of the company's projects at the customer's site.

Qualifications for the role
  • 1) Bachelor degree or above, major in automation or control.
  • 2) 5 years or more experience in the field of automotive industry automation is preferred.
  • 3) Familiarity with the electrical and automation standards of major international and domestic vehicle manufacturers (such as BMW, MercedesBenz, Audi, etc.).
  • 4) Familiar with Eplan design software.
  • 5) Proficient in at least one of the main brand PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.). experience in Codesys platform development is a plus
  • 6) Familiar with various industrial field buses (Profinet, Modbus, EtherCat, etc.).
  • 7) Fluent in English, with the ability to use it as a working language for technical communication and document writing.
  • 8) Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
