About the Position

As a valued team member, you will be responsible for conducting IFRS17 analysis as well as China GAAP analysis. Your duties will involve supporting the team leader in preparing various financial analyses and forecasts based on management requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • IFRS17 Analysis
    • Perform monthly IFRS17 analysis and deliver high-quality results to local management and related group functions.
    • Enhance the IFRS17 analysis framework proactively to offer insightful support for management decisions.
    • Work collaboratively with the actuarial team on overall results and the finance part of IFRS17 profit projection.
  • China GAAP Analysis
    • Enhance China GAAP analysis capabilities and provide comprehensive analyses to management on a monthly basis.
    • Enhance China GAAP profit projection capabilities, including tasks like rolling forecast and actual versus forecast comparison analysis.
    • Develop cross-GAAP analysis capabilities to assess the full scope of financial impacts.
  • Other Duties
    • Offer financial impact analysis for the company's new initiatives.
    • Handle other ad hoc tasks as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher with a focus on Finance or Accounting, CPA or ACCA certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting, reporting, and financial analysis, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the life insurance sector. Prior experience as an auditor in a big four firm or a distinguished consulting firm is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IFRS17 and China GAAP.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • A proactive problem-solver with robust analytical and communication skills suitable for a fast-paced industry.
  • Proficient in Working across boundaries, Communication, Planning and Organizing, Problem Solving, and Business Insight.
  • Quick learner, proactive, motivated, with a focus on integrity and trustworthiness.
