Senior Vice President, Medical/ Health China
What to Expect:
- Primarily responsible for a mix of business development, account management, and broking to provide quality advice and service to clients on reinsurance cession of life/health business.
- Leading the life/health specialty team to execute its strategy and achieve operational goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Build and expand client relationships to address current and emerging needs in the health/medical sector.
- Oversee business development initiatives through various channels to meet targets and develop new prospects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new clients and lead the medical/health business in China.
- Drive revenue generation, growth, and other opportunities by developing business from existing portfolios and other sources.
- Establish the medical/health Centre of Excellence and serve as a subject matter expert in the field.
- Provide training for clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in health/medical insurance/reinsurance sector with on-the-ground experience in China.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as insurance or risk management.
- Demonstrated skills in sales management, customer focus, and communication.
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage multicultural environments.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in (re)insurance of medical/health business.
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Team player with a focus on individual goals.
