We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Engineer to join our team at Booking.com. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term automation strategies to ensure the highest quality in all our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure seamless integration with our development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Quality specialists, Developers, Product Owners, and Principals, to cultivate an automation mindset and drive successful technical initiatives.
  • Design and implement test automation tools and infrastructure to support our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with new test automation technologies and plan strategically for possible changes to ensure our software quality strategy remains effective.
  • Write automated tests that are reusable, maintainable, and resilient to changes in our applications' UI and backend services.
  • Provide training and workshops to developers, designers, and product owners on testing culture and best practices to inspire quality consciousness.
  • Evaluate our internal testing tools and introduce new ones to improve return on investment (ROI).

Requirements

  • Proven track record of developing long-term automation strategies and driving successful technical initiatives that improved performance and quality in a large-scale environment.
  • Hands-on experience with writing automated tests that are reusable, maintainable, and resilient to a fast-paced development environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience mentoring and training other developers on software quality topics.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful, with a 'can-do' proactive attitude.
