Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at Valmet. As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the quality management system, ensuring that it runs as defined. You will also be responsible for quality management according to ISO quality management system, coordinating with each department to prepare and update documents in accordance with system requirements and operation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise the quality management system to ensure it runs as defined.
  • Ensure quality management according to ISO quality management system.
  • Coordinate with each department to prepare and update documents in accordance with system requirements and operation practices.
  • Plan, initiate, and lead internal and external audits according to QMS requirements.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure CA & PA are done, and root cause analysis is performed for critical issues.
  • Collect and follow up on site and internal feedback, ensuring timely handling and root cause analysis for major quality feedbacks.
  • Build continuous improvement through sections by seeking and finding improvement opportunities from quality system running, audit, internal & external feedback, and quality cost analysis.
  • Lead and develop quality lean projects and digital & intelligent development.
  • Participate in setting up and updating quality and technical requirements and standards, working with quality control and production to ensure they are implemented.
  • Initiate quality assurance plans according to project requirements, updating and following up to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Maintain the pressure vessel and welding system, ensuring manufacturing process and quality control are in accordance with related requirements.
  • Manage and calibrate measuring tools and devices, keeping them in good condition and precision according to QMS and pressure vessel quality assurance system.
  • Follow up, update, and report on department KPIs regularly.
  • Manage and develop subordinates, ensuring QA and department targets are reached.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese languages.
  • College degree or above, with more than 5 years of working experience in the Mechanical industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, knowledge of HSE, pressure vessel, and welding system are preferred.
  • Familiarity with QC tools.
  • Experience in Lean or 6 sigma, leading a project is preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment for the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
  • Any skills having participated in the process of ERP, MRP will be a plus.
  • Management skills for small teams will be a plus.
